About APSOP
The Association of Political Science Organizations of the Philippines (APSOP) is an academic and socio-political organization which aims to advance Political Science as a discipline and render the highest level of service to society. The organization also serves as a venue for dialogue and cooperation among different Political Organizations. APSOP is an organization where different political science organizations come up with activities and projects regarding the pertinent issues of our country. The organization advocates the application of the theories in the field of political science in order to be of help for the progress of our society. APSOP believes that every political science student has his own niche in contributing to the long process of nation building. More so, we believe in the power of hope which can transform citizens in order to act against the flawed structure, traditions and culture that have impeded the development of our country. For ten years now, it has been the passion of APSOP to help in transforming the youth as catalyst for change by raising the political efficacy of every Filipino strengthened with their democratic rights. It is part of our duty to empower the students and inspire them to take action for the betterment of the society. |
How your Organization can Join APSOP?
Organizations that would want to become a member of APSOP should submit the following (please download the forms on the right):
1. Letter of intent (one soft copy and one hard copy) to join addressed to: UP Political Society Director Organization of the Internals Committee Association of Political Science Organizations of the Philippines 2. Accomplished application form (one soft copy and one hard copy) 3. Copies of Organization Profile (one soft copy and one hard copy) 4. Copy of your organization’s proof of recognition. >> In case your organization was not able to secure an org recognition, you may submit the following, given that your organization will be able to secure a recognition next year: >> Mission and vision of the organization, and >> Proof of formal organization (structure of the organization and list of activities) 5. List of Permanent Representatives to the APSOP and their respective schedule matrices for the 1st semester. (one soft copy and one hard copy) >> All disclosed information shall become property of APSOP. >> These people are expected to attend every general assembly and judicial council meetings. Failure to do so will jeopardize the performance of the organization. 6. Submit a hard copy of the organization’s database of all members (active and inactive) who are currently enrolled. >> Include the name, email address, year level and contact numbers. >> All disclosed information shall be made confidential by the Internals Committee. 7. Submit a list of all major activities for the academic year 2012-2013. (soft and hard copy) 8. Pay the application fee of 2000Php. 9. Org representatives should be present in the GA immediately following their submission of application form.
