Thomasians Remembering November 23, 2009
On November 23, 2012, the UST Political Science Forum will host a University-wide Eucharistic Celebration in commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the Maguindanao Massacre, indisputably a politically motivated and election-related violence.
It has been three years since that day. As our nation yet prepares for another election in 2013, we aim to unite the entire Thomasian community in prayer to ask Divine guidance not only for the attainment of justice for the victims of the Maguindanao Massacre, but also for a peaceful elections in the coming year. HOLY MASS OF COMMEMORATION November 23, 2012 (Friday), 3:00pm to 4:00pm Venue: UST Santisimo Rosario Parish The mass is open for all. It will be presided by Rev. Fr. Melvin P. Castro, Executive Secretary of the Commission on Family and Life of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). CANDLE LIGHTING & THE THOMASIAN COMMUNITY PRAYER FOR A PEACEFUL 2013 ELECTIONS November 23, 2012 (Friday), 4:00pm to 4:30pm Venue: UST Santisimo Rosario Parish The prayer will immediately follow after the Eucharistic Celebration. It will be led by the Director of the Office for Student Affairs, Prof. Evelyn A. Songco, Ph.D., Assistant to the Rector for Student Affairs.
